Fish Scale Durable Enamel

Fish scale enamel is a common problem in all sectors where enamel is applied. While several testing methods exist to detect fish scale, the possibility of encountering a problem persists under operating conditions.

Fish scale, in its general structure, is caused by the carbon content in the sheet metal. It can appear on the sheet metal surface, sometimes as early as an hour or even as late as a week after the enamel application process.

As a result of research conducted in our R&D center, we have developed a durable enamel solution for fish scale sheet metal.

These results, obtained in side-by-side trials of regular enamel and fish scale-resistant enamel on fish scale sheet metal, were also tested under factory conditions, yielding similar results.

Our work continues with this enamel, which is still in the development phase, to address one of the enamel coating industry’s biggest challenges in the near future.
